Here at K-FITT we have rules that we ask all
of our members and guests to abide by. This is to ensure that all people using
our facilities have a safe and enjoyable time. Please make yourself aware of
the rules below so that you can enjoy our gym facilities to the fullest.
Access
1.
Please can we remind you to scan your membership
card on arrival, ensuring that you have closed the entrance door behind you for
the safety and security of our customers.
Hotel residents, please arrive with your room key card and wallet. We
reserve the right to refuse entry to both members and guests if these are not
presented on arrival.
2.
It is your responsibility to make yourself aware
of any equipment instructions, including warning notices. If you are unsure as
to how to use any piece of equipment you must seek advice from a member of the
K-FITT team, where we can offer a gym induction to demonstrate correct and safe
use of our equipment.
3.
Entry will be
refused to anybody under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
4.
No animals are
permitted in the club, other than guide dogs.
5.
The club opening
times are 06.30 – 22.00 Mon to Fri and 07.30 – 20.00 Sat and Sun. Last entry is 45 minutes before closing. These hours may vary on Bank Holidays and
over Christmas, New Year and Easter periods.
6.
The club reserves
the right to close facilities without prior notice should the need arise. Whenever possible, advanced warning will be
given.
7.
The club reserves
the right to terminate membership without giving reason. (Refunds may be
available subject to circumstances of membership termination).
Health & Safety
(Covid-19)
1.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, please refrain
from bringing your own towel as these can cause cross-contamination via their
material. As an alternative, please use the paper towels, antibacterial spray
agents and sanitizer that has been provided throughout the club.
2.
All club members, guests and visitors must use
available hand sanitizing stations where appropriate, to reduce the risk of
infection transmission.
3.
All gym equipment and surfaces that you will
been in contact with must be cleaned appropriately before and after use, using
the provided sanitizing products that are available.
4.
Face masks are MANDATORY when entering, walking
around and exiting the club. Failure to do so will result in immediate
termination of your membership (protected characteristics may be exempt).
5.
Due to social distancing, please attempt to
arrive at K-FITT gym ready. If possible,
please shower at home post workout. If you require to shower in club, please
ensure you keep a safe space (1 meter) between yourself and others who may be
in the changing area.
6.
The sauna and steam areas are there to provide
members and guests the best possible experience at K-FITT. Please ensure the following of these rules
are abided by:
6.1
Follow maximum capacity notice for both sauna
and steam room
6.2
Please keep your stay in these areas to a
maximum of 15 minutes
6.3
No food or drink is to enter either the sauna or
steam room
6.4
Use the clothes hooks provided to hang towels
and robes. Under no circumstances must
these items be taken into the sauna or steam room.
6.5
In an emergency, please familiarize yourself
with the emergency alarms. If in doubt, ask a member of the team.
Health & Safety
(other)
1.
Prior to using the
club, the PARQ must be completed and signed.
2.
Members will accept
all responsibility for any loss or damage to personal items. Kingfisher Country Club will not be held
responsible for this.
3.
Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere within the club
or its surrounding areas.
4. For safety reasons please ensure you are wearing appropriate gym clothing and footwear at all times. Clothing such as jeans, boots, flip-flops/sandals or work wear are not permitted in the gym.
5. Please limit the amount of accessories you bring into the club. However, for yours and others’ safety, all bags and coats should be placed in the lockers provided and not brought onto the gym floor due to the risk of trip hazards.
6. Sauna and Steam Room - These rooms operate at very high temperatures and humidity's. If you suffer from any medical condition, please make a member of the team aware before entering and please enter so at your own risk. If you would like to find out more on the health and safety of these rooms, please speak with a member of the team.
Administration
1.
The club management reserves the right to reject
any membership application without giving a reason.
2.
Club fees and tariffs may be altered at any
time. Members will be given notice if these changes should arise.
3.
K-FITT reserves the
right to terminate the membership of any member without notice in the event of
committing a serious breach of the club terms of membership.
4.
On cancellation or
termination of membership, no refund will be made.
5.
Members who wish to terminate their membership must give 1 calendar months’ notice.
6.
Member accounts are non-transferrable to another
individual (unless club management provides permission under special
circumstances).
Additional terms
1.
Phones, MP3 players and other electronic devices
that may cause annoyance are not permitted in the club.
2.
Lockers should only be used for personal
belongings. In addition, lockers must be emptied and left vacant on member exit
of the club.
3.
K-FITT reserves the right to carry out locker
audits without any prior warning. If
personal property is found in lockers upon club closing, these will be removed
and stored in lost property.
4.
Member personal property is stored at their own
risk.
Membership
1.
All members will pay a subscription when the member is accepted for
membership and shall be payable either annually in advance or by monthly
payments in which case it will be debited from the member’s nominated payment method.
2.
Renewal
of annual memberships is due after completion of the initial 12-month period
and subsequent 12 month periods thereafter. All annual memberships are
non-refundable. Members are given the option to either renew their existing
membership with the Terms and Conditions set out above prevailing for further
12 month periods, change to a different membership tariff for which a new
initial contract period will apply, or pay their membership fee in one annual
lump sum. Where members choose to renew their existing membership, members will
have the ability to cancel their membership in accordance with the cancellation
clauses set out in these Terms and Conditions. Please note that the continuance
of monthly payments to K-FITT will constitute the renewal of the membership at
the prevailing rate in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Data Protection Act
1. We take the privacy of member personal details very seriously. The Data Protection Act (GDPR) is adhered to, in which a statement can be produced if necessary by contacting kfitt@kingfishercountryclub.com.
3.
We collect personal information from you via our
membership portal (ClubRight), which adheres to GDPR data protection.
4.
We use your personal information for the purpose
of providing and personalizing your membership and providing you with
information about products and services offered by us.
